How to create a new public issue report

Step 1: Register or login with your account 

  1. If you have never used this site before please register an account, on the registration page.:
    • Upon entering the reporting system, the website may present you with a map. This map is designed to help you identify the location of the issue you want to report.
  2. If you have used this site before and remember your account details please proceed to login
  3. If you have used this site before but do not remember your account details please proceed to reset your account password. You will receive an email with details on how to reset your password.
    • If you continue to have trouble logging in, please check the email hasn't gone into your junk email folder
    • If you do not receive any email but are confident you already have an account linked to your email, please contact our team about this

Step 2: Locating the Issue on the Map

  1. After you have logged in, please proceed to open the map page:
    • Upon entering the reporting system, the website may present you with a map. This map is designed to help you identify the location of the issue you want to report.
  2. Zoom In or Out:
    • Use your mouse scroll wheel or on-screen buttons to zoom in or out on the map. This will allow you to see the area more clearly.
  3. Click or Tap on the Map:
    • To pinpoint the location of the issue, click or tap on the map where you observe the problem. This is where you'll inform the authorities about the specific spot that needs attention.

Step 3: Describing the Issue

  1. Choose a Problem Category:
    • Look for a list of common problems, like "signage", "damaged gate", or "broken stile". Click or tap on the category that best describes the issue you want to report.
  2. Describe the Issue:
    • In a box or form, you'll see a place to describe the problem. Use simple words to explain what you see. For example, "There's a big hole in the road" or "The gate is broken and won't close."

Step 4: Adding a Photo (Optional)

  1. Take a Photo (If Possible):
    • If you have a smartphone or camera, take a picture of the issue. You can ask a friend or family member for help if needed.
  2. Upload the Photo:
    • Look for a button that says "Add File." Click or tap on it and choose the picture you took. This will help the authorities understand the problem better.

Step 5: Submitting Your Report

  1. Review Your Information:
    • Take a moment to review the information you entered. Make sure the location is correct, and you described the issue clearly.
  2. Click or Tap "Submit" or "Send":
    • When you're ready, look for a button that says "Submit" or "Send." Click or tap on it to send your report.

Step 6: Confirmation and Follow-up

  1. Get a Confirmation:
    • After submitting your report, you should see a message saying your report was received. This is your confirmation that the authorities know about the issue.
  2. Wait for Updates:
    • The authorities will work on fixing the problem. You might receive updates by email, phone, or on the website. Be patient, and thank you for helping make our community safer!
